I first heard her when Michelle Kwan skated to her rendition of FIELDS OF GOLD at the Olympics. I completely forgot about the skating and I had to know who this voice was. To this day there are many songs of hers that completely destroy me every time I listen to them. This is one.

My dad died on my birthday in Sept. 2019, mom on Dec 17, 2020, and eldest stepson on Dec.2021. I am a pianist, studied from age 9-23 (college major; voice minor).My folks often talked about popping me in front of the TV (1962) to watch the Wizard of Oz & said I didn't move a muscle during the entire thing! Eva...your voice will forever be a blessing !

2:45 Eva had such a beautiful voice, she was definitely one of a kind. It is so very sad she died so young, and she didnt even get to see how her music touched so many people, again unfortunately she became mega famous once she had died. Heres hoping she is singing sll of her lovely songs to the people that have passed away, you had an extraordinary voice Eva, loved you singing 'Fields of Gold' and 'Over the Rainbow '... Very strange that this alert showed up on my phone this morning 11 min ago, the last day of my Mom's birthday and death month. My Mom passed away from cancer in July 26th 2021 and her birthday was July 27th. She loved Ava. favorite singer and she has all her recordings which I have now. As soon as I get my little tiny home set up I want to play Eva's recordings on my Mom's stereo. Mom and I met Ava years ago on Long Beach Island (NJ). Every summer to this day her music is played in the beautiful little shop called How To Live On An Island. She was very close to the owner. I hope my Mom and Ava have met. Beautiful voice Ava had.. Nice to 2:45 get this alert and listen on a rainy day.
